Welcome to the xenocs webinar

Small angle scattering (SAXS) was used to characterize drugs, drug targets and viruses

Tuesday, October 27, 2020, 4:30-5:15 PM, Beijing time

The global COVID-19 COVID-19 pandemic emphasizes the need to speed up the stages of drug development, reduce the wastage rate of candidate drugs and establish reliable drug testing standards to ensure that only safe and effective drugs can enter the market. Small angle / wide angle X-ray scatterometer (SAXS / WAXS) uses fast and powerful methods to analyze the structure, morphology and interaction in the system, which can help to effectively deal with some of the challenges.

In this workshop, we will show how SAXS and WAXS can promote research, development and quality control at all stages of drug and vaccine development. Firstly, the role of SAXS in drug and vaccine target discovery is introduced, and then the analysis of virus by SAXS is introduced. We will focus on how high-throughput screening can accelerate preclinical development, and finally, how SAXS can be used as a fingerprint technology for troubleshooting, production monitoring, and quality control.

The seminar includes a 30 minute report and a 15 minute question and answer session.

Speaker: Dr isja de feijter, xenocs SAS - France
